I was thinking about issues that burn in your heart.  Issues that MUST be proclaimed.  And I've often heard others say things like, "If I could only preach one message for the rest of my life, it would be ____."  And so I thought, what would my one message be? But it's hard to narrow it down to just one.  IF I was only permitted to preach one message, I guess it would be my love affair with the Word of God, and It's absolute necessity for all of life for every human being.  Praise God I am not limited to one message! These are the "hills that I will live and die on" so to speak.  They are the issues that you will find continually on my heart and proceeding from my lips.  Within each of these, there are several sub-categories, but these are the general issues that compel my life and MUST be proclaimed!

 

  1. The Bible is the authoritative, inspired, perfect, absolute and Holy Word of God.  It is the rule and standard for all of life and we will be judged by it.

    John 17:17 "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." 
    2nd Tim 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"
    Luke 4:4 "And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God."
    Pro. 30:5 "Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him."
    John 12:48 "He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day."
    1st Cor. 6:9-10 "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God."
    Rev. 21:8 "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

  2. Jesus Christ is God in flesh, Saviour of the world, and the only means to have our sins forgiven and to be granted eternal life. 

    Col. 1:12-17 "Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist."
    Heb. 1:1-3 "God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:"
    Rev. 4:11 "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."
    John 1:1-3 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.The same was in the beginning with God.All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."
    Is. 53:3-6 "He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all."
    Heb. 9:28 "So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation."
    1st Peter 3:18 "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:"
    2nd Cor. 5:21 "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."
    John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
    Acts 4:12 "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

  3. Man is totally depraved.  Sinful by nature from birth.  Not only unwilling to come to God, but unable.  He MUST be born again.

    Ps 51:5 "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me."
    Gen. 6:5 "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."
    Gen. 8:21 "And the Lord smelled a sweet savour; and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done."
    1st Cor. 15:22 "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive."
    Rom. 8:7 "Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be."
    2 Cor. 4:4 "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."
    Jer. 17:9 "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"
    Eph. 2:1 "And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;"
    Rom. 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
    Ps. 14:3 "They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one."
    1st Cor. 2:14 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
    John 3:3 "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

  4. The Gospel is the means that God uses to miraculously cause man to be born again!  It must be proclaimed everywhere to everyone!

    Rom. 10:17 "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
    1st Cor. 1:21 "For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe."
    Matt 28:19-20 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
    Mark 1:15 "And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel."
    Rom. 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
    John 11:25-26 "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?"

  5. False teachers and teaching must be resisted and exposed wherever it is found with unyielding zeal and an absolute stand for truth.

    Gal 2:4-5 "And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you."
    2 Cor 11:3-4 "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him."
    Eph. 5:11 "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them."
    2nd Tim. 4:2 "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine."
    Titus 1:9 "Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers."
    Jude 1:3 "Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints."
    Matt 7:15 "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."
    Matt 16:6 "Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees."
    Matt 24:11 "And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many."
    Rom 16:17 "Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them."

  6. The world and all its influences (political, economic, entertainment, corporate, education, etc.) is under the control and sway of satan.

    2nd Cor. 4:4 "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."
    John 14:30 "Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me."
    Eph. 2:2 "Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:"
    Luke 4:6 "And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it."
    1st John 2:16 "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world."
    Rev. 13:7-8 "And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world."
    Ps. 2:2-3 "The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us."

  7. There is no hope in these systems and Christians must come out and be separate from them as much as possible.

    2nd Cor. 6:17 "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you."
    John 17:14 "I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world."
    1st John 2:15-16 "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world."
    Eph. 5:11 "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them."
    Ps. 20:7 "Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God."
    Psalm 33:16-18 "There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;"
    James 4:4 "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God."

  8. Society is being lied to, manipulated and brainwashed by these systems with an end goal of a satanic one world government.

    2nd Tim. 3:13 "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived."

    John 8:34 "Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin."
    Rev. 13:7-8 "And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world."
    1st John 5:19 "And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness."

  9. We are in the last days and things will grow worse and worse.  There is an URGENCY to be saved and prepare our hearts.

    1st Peter 4:7 "But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer."
    2nd Tim. 3:13 "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived."
    Matt. 24:37-38 "But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,"
    2nd Cor. 6:2 "(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)"
    Mark 1:15 "And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel."
    Acts 3:19 "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord."
    Acts 17:30 "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:"

  10. Christians must constantly self-examine and strive for personal holiness (in humility and sincerity) through the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit.

    2nd Cor. 13:5 "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?"
    John 17:17 "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth."
    1st Thes. 4:3 "For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:"
    1st Peter 1:16 "Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy."
    Gal. 5:16 "This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh."
    Phil. 2:12-13 "Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure."
